A Carnatic Quartet has been conceptualised as an effort to explore the juxtaposition of distinct instrumental forms within the Carnatic tradition, combining the violin, nagaswaram, mridangam, and thavil. Each performance is crafted with an emphasis on the musical and sonic uniqueness of the four instruments. The group is conceptualised and curated by Shreya Devnath, and features Shreya Devnath on the Violin, Mylai Karthikeyan on the Nagaswaram, Praveen Sparsh on the Mridangam, and Adyar G Silambarasan on the Thavil.
